Grow as We Go live video

At the charity concert in Noormarkku church, Elias and Markus performed a few unpublished songs. One of them can be heard on this video. Grow as We Go, written with their friend Brian Pierce already a few years ago, has been presented at some gigs asTop of the World or Sitting on a Rock – one of these names should eventually be printed on the cover of their album.

Elias and Markus also played some songs from Elias’s  debut album, e.g.  Kerro mulle, Arizona/Mexico and Maailma on kaunis, and numerous covers (Jos sä tahdot niin, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Chicken Fried, Let it Be…).

The street musician in the media

Mr ChangeIltalehti, one of the two big Finnish tabloids, published a story about Elias playing at Kaisaniemi metro station. Street musician-Elias has been back since early last summer, playing in streets and metro stations between gigs. The story also mentions him working on his new album, planning to release a single next summer.

More about the street musician on the Mr Change-page under the Elias-menu.

New homepage of Elias Hämäläinen

The homepage of musician Elias Hämäläinen has been renewed, and now also features his brother and duo partner Markus Hämäläinen. Suggestions on how to improve this new site are welcome, for example, as comments on this post.

Recent greetings from Elias can be read from Facebook (in Finnish, like most of the old posts on this site).
